Draft Manual on Fines and Fees                          

The Adminstrative Office of Illinois Courts has distributed to
Illinois Circuit Clerks a 'Draft Manual on Fines and Fees' which is intended
to provide a quick reference to every Statute and Supreme Court Rule
governing fines and fees.  Illinois Judges may benefit from obtaining a copy
of this manual from their Circuit Clerk and becoming familiar with the over
120 fine and fee provisions.  It may also be useful if litigants have
questions about the uses of fines and fees.  Several funds, such as the Court
Fund (55ILCS 5/5-1101), Court Security Fee (55 ILCS 5/51103), and Court
Automation Fund (705 ILCS 105/27.3a), may be of interest to Judges when they
search for funding for various court renovation projects.
