51st Annual Joint Mid Year Meeting

December 8 & 9, 2022

JW Marriott Chicago
151 West Adams Street, Chicago

Luncheon Speaker:

Alexi Giannoulias

 Illinois Secretary of State Elect

At 30 years old, Alexi was elected Illinois State Treasurer, becoming the youngest State Treasurer in the nation. He pursued an agenda focused on curbing ethical abuses, creating jobs, and safely investing taxpayer dollars to improve the financial futures of all Illinoisans. In June 2022, he won the Democratic nomination for Secretary of State with a platform to modernize the office, strengthen ethics laws and protect voter rights. After leaving the Treasurer’s Office in 2011, Alexi was appointed as Chairman of the Illinois Community College System, served on the Chicago Public Library’s Board of Directors and taught at Northwestern University. He is also the founder of Annoula Ventures, which invests in primarily Illinois-based companies and start-ups. Alexi graduated cum laude from Boston University with a degree in economics and earned a law degree from Tulane University’s School of Law. He is a lifelong Chicagoan and still calls the city home along with his wife, Josephine, and their three daughters.
